Yes, you can absolutely wash your wrapped Tesla—including your wrapped Cybertruck—but there are a few important guidelines to follow to protect your vinyl wrap and keep it looking fresh for years. We highly recommend hand washing your vehicle using a gentle, non-abrasive method. The best approach is to use a clean microfiber mitt or soft sponge along with a pH-balanced automotive soap and cool water. This helps preserve the integrity of your
vinyl wrap, whether it’s a
matte black Cybertruck wrap,
custom Tesla wrap, or any other finish or color.
Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive scrubbers, or rough towels, as these can scratch or degrade the vinyl surface over time. Always rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry the vehicle with a microfiber towel to prevent water spots.
High-pressure washers should be used with caution. If you choose to use one, make sure the pressure is below 2,000 psi, the nozzle is kept at least 12 inches away from the surface, and the water stream is not pointed directly at wrap edges or seams. Spraying too close or at the wrong angle can lift the edges and compromise the adhesion of your wrap.
Automated car washes—especially those with spinning brushes or rough cloths—are strongly discouraged. These machines are often too aggressive and can cause damage to the vinyl, especially around corners and panel edges. Over time, this can lead to peeling, scratches, or fading, especially under the intense Florida sun.
For the best results and longest lifespan of your
Cybertruck vinyl wrap, we always recommend
hand washing as your go-to method. If you want to add even more protection and ease of maintenance, consider upgrading to our
ceramic coating over vinyl wrap, which enhances the gloss, repels dirt and water, and makes routine cleaning even easier.
